Dr Wei Sheng Wu is a professor of microbiology at the Xi'an Shiyou University.

Dr Wei's area of research is in the use of bacteria in the oil industry as a means of treating oil spills. Dr Wei has developed a new strain of the bacteria that he believes opens up new and exciting opportunities.
