In The Goldilocks Game, IRIS Agent Jonah Bull carries an Emerson CQC6 folding knife as part of his standard equipment. The Emerson CQC6 is a custom-made knife made by Emerson Knives Inc. that is used by many elite forces around the world, including Navy SEALs, the British SAS and the German GSG 9.

As the acronym suggests, the CQC6 is for 'Close Quarters Combat' and is therefore designed for use as a weapon. However, the CQC6 can also be folded for safe storage and is used by the special forces for practical uses other than fighting. It has a spring-loaded mechanism which allows it to be deployed quickly and easily (as you can see in the clip on the left.

The CQC6 is hand-made and has a long waiting list, and its use by military personnel makes possession of a CQC6 knife a status symbol in certain circles. The CQC6 is also sometimes known as a Viper 6 (its previous name) and the CQC series has been renamed SpecWar (because of its association with Special Warfare).
