The International Reconnaissance and Intelligence Service (IRIS) is an independent and non-political agency supported by the International Intelligence Community. It is responsible for providing international security intelligence to the senior policymakers of each of its member states and works with civil and military authorities to develop and enforce measures to promote international peace and security.
What does IRIS do?
IRIS has the twin functions of scouting and exploring to collect information not easily or publicly available about forces hostile to international order and the meaningful analysis and interpretation of that information. Information is gathered by a combination of technological and human intelligence collectors. The information is then processed using an artificial intelligence system called ASAP that produces results that are assessed by a team of analysts and strategists at the highest levels.
