Jonah Bull is a field agent for IRIS.
Before joining IRIS, Bull was a captain in the United States Air Force (USAF), where he served for a number of years as a fighter pilot flying F-22 Raptor jets. Like most fighter pilots, he really enjoyed the thrill of pushing the envelope, especially in an aircraft as fast, manoeuvrable and sophisticated as the F-22.
However, being a thinking man, and realising early on that he could not fly supersonic jets forever and that he wanted to make a difference in his life, Bull decided that he would try to put his flying skills to help others. He set about learning how to fly different sorts of aircraft, from tactical airlifters such as the C-130 Hercules used for cargo and medical evacuation, to various types of military helicopters.
Unsatisfied that he was doing enough that was really meaningful, Bull decided to resign his commission in the USAF three years ago and to join IRIS. With its international focus and stated aims of independently and impartially contributing to world order, IRIS initially provided Bull with his ideal job in which he could use the amazing skills and training he had acquired as a USAF pilot for more than proving his courage to his flying buddies. Deputy Director Wendell Krennick was instrumental in mentoring him and helping him to understand the strategies and responsibilities of being an IRIS agent.
As an IRIS pilot, Bull was assigned a number of missions involving airlifting political refugees and other foreign dignitaries in war-torn areas of the world. During this time, Bull never lost his joy of flying and the exhilaration of testing the limits of his airplanes. All that changed one day when something happened 18 months ago that brought Bull's life to a standstill, and made him request a desk job at IRIS… until he met Tania Likamolova.
